For example, if you are exporting a heavy goods vehicle, coach or bus outside the EU, where the AdBlue system is surplus to requirements, we can provide an AdBlue delete remap. This only applies to vehicles that are leaving the EU and being moved to an area where AdBlue is not a legal requirement.

Modern turbo diesel engines used in HGVs, coaches and buses are managed by an ECU. The ECU uses a map or database of values to control all aspects of the engine’s performance, including fuel injection timing, duration and pressure.

HGV remaps are tailored to an individual customer’s requirements. In some cases, we might alter your injection pressure or timing to unlock extra torque and help you move up through your gears more efficiently.

In others, we may focus on adjustments that help you tackle hills at a lower rpm or in a higher gear – reducing fuel use and the associated expenditure. Irrespective of the changes we’re delivering, we always take a methodical approach that prioritises the long-term health of your equipment.

Remapping

When remapping a bus or coach, we are normally trying to solve one of two problems: unnecessary fuel consumption, which limits operational efficiency, or a sub-standard drive that’s limiting enjoyment.

Increased torque at the lower end of your rev range, coupled with better throttle response makes it significantly easier to pull away and move up through your gears. Critically, it also improves performance when negotiating steep hills and other, equally challenging terrain.
